RAAG is a group of retirement housing residents who are passionate about creating retirement housing reform.
From 2011-2017 the group operated as seperate groups for residents of Caravan and Residential Parks and Residential Villages and Independent Living Units. The groups merged into the Retirement Accommodation Action Group as many of their concerns overlapped, and the more voices together the better!
The group(s) in all their iterations have achieved things such as:
- Introduction of Part 4A into the Residential Tenancies Act in 2011
- Caravans and Residential Parks Forum in 2012
- Residential Tenancies Act Review
- Parliamentary inquiry into the Retirement Housing Sector
- Collaboration with Swinburne University on a residential parks project (yet to be completed)
- Retirement Housing forum in 2017
- Independent Voices- Research conducted into the experiences of ILU residents
- Parliamentary inquiry into the Retirement Housing Sector
- Residential Tenancies Act review
